The name came to me one day as I recalled one of my favourite children’s books (and movies): “The Phantom Tollbooth.” It relates the story of Milo, a young boy bored by school, life…basically everything. The universe confronts his attitude by sending a magic tollbooth that appears one day in his living room. Before Milo travels through it to begin his adventures in the Kingdom of Wisdom in “the Lands Beyond,” the tollbooth announces potential destinations: “Dictionopolis (the city of words), Digitopolis (the city of numbers), and all points west. Though it was a common phrase, when I first heard those words as a boy, it made me wonder what adventures could possibly lie beyond something that already sounded adventurous. “All Points West” means finding new ways to program music, new ways to offer it to the community. It means learning, and exploration; something new for all of us. - Adam
